Swim Qualifies for State!

The Austin High swim team rocked and rolled at the Region 5 swim meet. All the

swimmers have reached a new high and are improving significantly. One of Austin's top

swimmers Kyle Kulow finished 2nd and qualified for the State meet in Austin Feb.17-18, besting

his own team record by five seconds.

“This season is going really well, we accomplished our goals of going to state! Although I

finished second, I will have my vengeance in Austin,” said Kulow.

The Boys Medley, 200 free and 400 free relays of Kyle Kulow, Lloyd Gomez, Eric Qui

and Ivan Pidgirsky all finished 5th and are awaiting call-ups to State. Kulow broke the team

record with a best time in the 400 free relay as well.  All three relays shattered team records.
