It’s no secret that Austin girls basketball is dominating this season. Ranking 13-1 in the district after finishing strong in two tournaments and a win against Clements this Tuesday, the co- district champs will now advance to the bi-district playoffs to face off against teams from districts outside of Fort Bend. From their more seasoned players to their newest additions in freshmen, it's clear that part of what makes the team so great is its diverse talent! We talked with senior Brittney Adeck to hear her thoughts on the team’s success this season as well as her hopes for the upcoming playoffs.

Why has this season been so groundbreaking?

Adeck: "This season has had the best winning streak in history and I'm glad to have shared it with my team. They are the best people on and off he court, and are the reason that we've done so well."

How do you and the team feel heading into the playoffs, what are your expectations?

Adeck: "Going into the playoffs and competing against Cinco Ranch will really test our team dynamics. I'm excited to see if we can secure a win with more of my teammates stepping up to the challenge!"

Congratulations to girls basketball on their historical season! We're all proud of you, and we hope to see the stands packed with bulldogs at your first playoffs game next week!
